Blogging itself is an easy function.  After you are sitting down and sharing great information that people want to read and share with others.  There are some components that you will want to add to your blog that make it easier on yourself and your readers to participate more in the function of blogging.  These are quite random but they are all necessary when combined to the success of your blog and your direct sales business.

1. RSS Feed – You should set up an RSS Feed on your blog so that regular readers can enter their email address and have all of your blog posts (or summaries of them) delivered right into their feed, web browser, reader or email.

2. Social Media Buttons – If you have social media accounts on Google+, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other sites, make sure you have the icons for those on your blog (in a visible place) and have them hooked directly to all of your social media accounts. Visitors to your blog can easily click them and follow you on your social media networking accounts.  This is a great way to keep your readers involved in your business.

3. Stat Counter – Set up an in-depth stat counter on your blog to show you where your blog traffic is coming from and how they are getting there. These days you can find really nice ones that will tell you where the visitor is located, how did they arrive on your site, the keyword they used and how long they stayed on your site. All of this information is very valuable when it comes to creating new content for your blog.  Google Analytics is a fabulous tool for in-depth information.

4. SEO If your blog is on WordPress, there are free SEO Tool plug in’s that you can use on your blog. These tools are valuable for helping to get your blog content indexed and ranked by all of the popular search engines. They are relatively easy to use. In addition, you need to make sure that you use appropriate keywords in each blog post’s title and sprinkled throughout your post (no more than 2 to 3 times) within the post.  The search engines love this and you will see an increase in traffic from the search engine eventually.

By using these 4 tips, you will help your readers to a better experience while on your blog.  Plus working on your posts more additional traffic will add more readers too.  It is a win win for you both.
